In a Nutshell
This Part-Time programme takes musicians (mainly in guitar and keyboards,
but drums and bass are considered), and trains them to be professional
music teachers in their chosen instrument. Upon successful completion of the
course, you will be up to the standard to teach professionally for the Belfast
Music Academy, and you will be offered a position with us to teach your
instrument*. The course lasts from 3 months to 1 year depending on your
level upon starting. Attendance is 1 hour per week, so that you can fit this
programme around your current commitments.

It's not a one-size fits all approach to music-teaching that we offer.
We tailor the programme for your needs.
Assessment
You will be simulating lessons in the context of your course. So it means that
you will be constantly assessed. When you are ready then you will pass the
course. We are looking to create high-level-professionals.
After the Course:
The course lasts between 3 months to 1 year depending on your level upon
starting.
Upon successful completion of the course, you will be offered a role in the
company as a Music Instructor. Starting wage is approx £19000**
The Cost:
This is an investment in yourself.
Because sometimes people find it difficult to pay in full at the start of their
course, we offer a monthly payment option, so that it takes away the difficulty
in paying for your course.
The cost is £175 per month.
Considering that the minimum time frame in which the course can be completed
is 3 months, you could be a fully trained music teacher, with a guaranteed job*
making a starting wage of £19000 per year** with the only outlay being £525,
which is amazing! Especially when you consider that Universities can charge you
more than £3200 per year!***
We are very proud of our £175 per month price, and know that at this price it
will be very well subscribed.
Entry Requirements
--You must be a competent musician in one of the following instruments
- Guitar
- Keyboards/Piano
- Bass
- Drums
--You must have a grasp of Rock Music and other forms of modern music.

Based upon availability. We will need teachers for our planned expansion and
opening of branches. The timing of your job offer is based upon the timing of
our branch openings and expansion. We endeavour to offer you full time work,
but you may be asked to accept part time work. The work is self-employed.

The £19000 per annum figure is based upon 52 weeks per year at 40 hours per
week at the rate of £9:13 per hour. As you will be self employed – working for
the Belfast Music Academy, your income may vary, and we may give you a
